I haven't worked on a personal project for a while, so I thought an Artstation challenge would be a fun way to pick up doing environments as a hobby again.
I used a concept by Yuyun/Jessie Jiang as a starting point as I really liked the designs in her concept. It was a lot of fun to translate them into 3D! See her submission here: https://www.artstation.com/artwork/03WzNV

I was able to try out a lot of new things this project, including more complex WPO animations for the kite, simulated kite strings, and making prettier clouds.

Hope you like this project as much as I've enjoyed making it. I didn't think I'd ever put a deadline on myself after college, but this project has definitely brought back fond memories.
